Situated in the vibrant neighborhood of Fort Greene, Brooklyn, this classic turn of the century brownstone has withstood the test of time. In considering a remodel, the owners faced the daunting task of replacing the windows while still adhering to the Greek Revival architectural style. Rather than opting for more double-hung windows, the owners wanted something more functional and energy efficient, and turned their attention toward tilt-turn windows. HH Windows & Doors designed and manufactured a series of large, single-sash tilt-turn windows with a simulated meeting rail and offset glass lines, replicating a double hung window. The result is a modern take on an American architectural classic; the windows look like double-hungs but don’t share any of their drawbacks: with increased thermal performance and superior functionality, the tilt-turn window was the perfect solution.
